Donna Frett-Gregory was re-elected in 2022 to serve as a Senator in the 35th Legislature of the US Virgin Islands.

Senator Donna A. Frett-Gregory is currently the Chair of the Committee on Budget, Appropriations and Finance and the Vice-Chair of the Committee on Education and Workforce Development. She also serves on the Committees on Economic Development and Agriculture and Health, Hospitals and Human Services. In the 34th Legislature, she served as the Senate President, making her the third woman in the Legislature's history to hold this title. Senator Frett-Gregory is passionate about education and economic development and is deeply focused on helping to create a Virgin Islands for all.

Her background demonstrates her ability to lead large teams and manage substantial budgets through the implementation of cost-saving measures and fiscal accountability. She has served as Chief Financial Officer of the Virgin Islands Port Authority, Commissioner of the Virgin Islands Department of Education, and previously held positions of Assistant Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner for Fiscal and Administrative Services.

Donna has also worked at the VI Department of Justice as the Director of Operations overseeing the administrative operations, including the Bureau of Corrections. Her early career started as an Accounting Clerk in the Business Division of the Legislature of the Virgin Islands, where she was later promoted to Budget Analyst in the Post Audit Division, and later worked as the District Director of Business and Administrative Services at the Department of Education.

Donna is a passionate advocate for issues close to her heart. She served on the board of Kidscope, working to protect child victims of abuse and neglect. She also served on the VI Board of Education where she advocated for reform and fiscal accountability in public education. Donna regularly volunteers within the community as a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. Sigma Theta Omega Chapter for 28 years, where she formerly served as chapter president for 2 years.

Donna believes in an inclusive Virgin Islands. One where everyone feels welcomed and can make a respectable living for themselves and their families. A Virgin Islands for all—not just a few.
