34th LEGISLATURE MOURNS THE LIVES LOST IN HELICOPTER CRASH ON ST. THOMAS

February 16, 2021

St. Thomas, USVI - The Members of the 34th Legislature are deeply shocked and saddened to have learned of the helicopter crash today that tragically took the lives of all those on board. Senate President Donna Frett-Gregory offers sincere condolences on behalf of her colleagues to the families and friends of those whose lives were so tragically lost in the crash.

The crash which took place in Estate Botany Bay, on the western side of St. Thomas in challenging terrain made it difficult for our first responders to get to. We commend the efforts of the first responders, as this tragic event highlights the importance of providing them the resources needed to respond appropriately to emergencies.

“May the departed rest in peace, and may the families and friends be comforted and granted solace,” said Senate President Donna Frett-Gregory. “May those who responded to the scene be given the strength needed to process what was faced and may our community lift them all in collective prayer.”
